Dealing with the ‘Requires Elevation’ Message
When you try to install Silverlight as part of the ActionFlow installation, you may get a message that says something like this:
The requested operation requires elevation
This problem can occur if you are not an administrator on your own computer. To solve the problem, you must run the installation “as an administrator”. To do that, follow the instructions below.
On the Silverlight installation page, when you click on the link to install Silverlight, you will notice that a file called Silverlight_x64.exe will be downloaded to your computer.
First, you must open the folder where the file has been downloaded. The screenshot below shows how to do this in the Chrome browser. But regardless of what browser you use, you should see an option to view the folder where the file has been downloaded. The file is typically downloaded to the ‘Downloads’ folder, which you can view using Windows File Explorer.
Once you locate the folder in Windows File Explorer where the file has been downloaded, you should see a screen similar to the one below. (Note: If you click on the header titled ‘Date Modified’, you should be able to see the most recently downloaded files at the top of the screen.)
At this point, simply Right-Click on the downloaded file and select ‘Run as Administrator’.
